Purpose

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for the risk and compliance management process and infrastructure as a key enabler to achieve the business’ strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an appropriate Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks (RCMF). Consequently, also quantify the risk appetite in terms of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) as set by the STANLIB Eswatini Board.
  • Implement and monitor Risk Management policies, procedures and processes, and communication thereof.
  • Interpret and apply applicable financial services regulation, including influencing business and compliance process amendments, setting policy, applying compliance risk management plans and compliance monitoring plans.
  • To ensure that STANLIB Eswatini complies with the provisions of Companies Act and rules and regulations made thereunder and other applicable statutes.

Minimum Experience

  • A minimum 6 years’ experience in financial services, of which at least 4 years were in a managerial capacity within a risk and/or compliance function. Investment management experience is an advantage.
  • A sound understanding of enterprise risk management principles and philosophy.
  • Knowledge of the Eswatini Financial Services Industry and regulatory framework.
  • Have a strong presence and can interact effectively with the Board, ARC, GM and management.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills including the ability to manage competing priorities in a high pressure environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience, with an ability to inspire loyalty and enthusiasm.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An honours degree, preferably in Commerce, Law or related subjects.
