Purpose

Perform and check the day-to-day Fund accounting or portfolio administration of Unit Trust Funds, which includes money market, asset portfolios, Funds of Funds and ETFs.

Minimum Experience

2 - 3 years experience in a similar environment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Finance Economics and Accounting

Process

  • Accountable for the quality execution of own and teams' work, within defined operating procedures, standards and work routines.
  • Plan for the execution of own and other's tasks against a set framework.
  • Proactively identify team-based work problems, determine root-cause and apply solutions in line with established guidelines, escalating more complex problems, providing the necessary information to solve problems.
  • Supervising and ensuring that the required daily processes and deliverables are correctly adhered to/executed by the team.
  • Ensure that necessary checks that the following are processed accurately and completely incl Interest; maturities and rate resets, local and foreign dividends and events that have gone in the market.
  • Ensure that proxies have been loaded accurately and completely in the system for voting.
  • Ensurie that proxy and elective event automated swift messages or instructions are sent to custodians timeously.
  • Manage and ensure that all AMH swift exceptions have been cleared daily.
  • Ensuring that the Corporate Actions Automated system tool is running smoothly on a daily basis.
  • Check that the SARS withholding tax file has been submitted every month after the checks have been completed by the relevant teams.
