About the Role

Responsible for expert legal advice in the financial planning environment and responsible for supporting sales intermediaries on matters of a legal nature as pertains to financial planning.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

LLB or B.Com (Law)

Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP) specialising in Estate Planning

Minimum Experience

3 - 5 years' experience in a similar environment

key Responsibilities

Collate information to serve as input to managerial reporting or decision making related to an area of specialisation.

Understand and apply existing best practice frameworks to assist in the implementation of identified subject matter processes and standards.

Provide specialist advice and support in area of accountability to ensure that identified solutions and recommendations are appropriate and effective.

Stay abreast with the relevant regulatory and legislative environment.

Act as support to training specialists in terms of legal and technical support in the delivery of training initiatives such as DPFM and Financial Planner Induction Course etc.

Provides train-the-trainer to training specialists to improve their knowledge and understanding of the legal environment as it applies to Financial Planning.

Provide legal and marketing presentations on request to branches and intermediaries with a focus on production.

Accountable for assisting Financial Advisers with client engagements relating to financial planning and focusing on estate planning and business risk planning.

Plan for the organisation of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to the area of specialisation.

Proactively identify area of specialisation related problems, determine cause and effect and recommend the best option to implement corrective action based on previous experience.
