Divisional Executive: Liberty Retail Investment Proposition Management

Leads the process of proposition discovery and definition, pulling in expertise from within Investments and other functions. Manages the interface with the Client and Adviser Experience (CAE) team and the Business Development Managers in the design and support of these propositions into our tied channels.

Minimum Experience

8 - 10 years experience in a similar environment, of which 2 - 3 years at senior management level

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Finance Economics and Accounting

Relevant Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diploma in Business, Commerce, Management Studies, Finance Economics and/or Accounting.



  • Determine resource allocation priorities and deployment necessary to support the effective integration of processes and development of practice/s.
  • Advise on and ensure the development and implementation of area specific methodologies and frameworks; ensuring appropriate implementation and use.
  • Keep abreast of changes and new legislation and developments within industries that may affect area of specialisation.
  • Plan for value-added practice improvements, initiatives and services to optimize the characteristics of the portfolios assigned to the role.
  • Accountable for the formulation of functional operating models and value-chain integration, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Proactively identify problems across the function of which the causes are ambiguous and uncertain, identifies optimal alternatives and designs optimal solutions, anticipating future challenges.
  • Plan for effective organisational management across the value-chain, set strategic objectives and priorities among existing services, processes or systems and new developments, and specify the required measurements to monitor performance effectiveness.
  • Ensure that product and portfolio set is aligned to advice model.
  • Ensure core segments are adequately served with appropriate products and portfolios, and identify new opportunities revealed through market insights.
  • Co-ordinate solution activation where required.
  • Enables Technical Marketing services through a focus on analysis of competitor products and portfolios, and how our internal proposition and pricing compares.
  • Provides and develops technical communications (in support of broader communication campaigns and activities).
  • Prepare CAE to sell and Operations to service, products that meet customer needs.
  • Transform technical aspects and benefits of a product into business and marketing ready, understanding.


  • Influence and drive the implementation of a customer-centric stakeholder framework, which builds positive relationships and encourages feedback.
  • Co-ordinate the design and management of retail investment proposition with key stakeholders (including products and portfolios, CAE, Servicing, Marketing and Communications).
  • Ensure product and portfolios align to customer lifetime journey and segment insights as prepared by CAE and Marketing.
  • Work closely with CAE to identify how to enable cross-sell, encourage product upgrades appropriate for client needs, using customer engagement platform.
  • Co-ordinate response to queries and complaints escalated to solutions team.
  • Provides support to CAE in roadshows, webinars, launches, etc.
  • Support investment specialists with necessary product and portfolio information.


  • Ensure that appropriate strategies have adequate financial resources for the development and implementation of critical financial plans and budgets. Influence the implementation and integration thereof across the organisation.

  • Integrate and drive human resource strategies across operating units to ensure optimum utilisation of human capability through effective planning and development.


  • Drive the development and implementation of integrated risk, governance and compliance frameworks, ensuring the consolidation of the risk profile for an area of accountability across the value chain, managing critical risks and providing feedback.
