Purpose

Accountable for Strategic Supplier Relationship Management in order to drive value engineering and ensure GRES commercial strategy is delivered through the formulation and implementation of commercial cost models and responses.

Minimum Experience

5 - 8 years experience in a similar environment, of which 3 - 4 years at management level

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications [Level TBA: Pre-2009 was L5] in Finance Economics and Accounting

Additional Minimum Qualifications

A post graduate property management degree or a MBA/MBL will be an added advantage.

Process

  • Communicate a meaningful tactical context that guides and directs best practice integration and process alignment with service delivery objectives.
  • Provide accurate reports to enable the identification of key risk and strategic growth measurements and financial performance of the business.
  • Accountable for strategy implementation through the integration and optimisation of operational activities to practices and systems across an internal value chain.
  • Proactively identify interconnected tactical problems, determine the impact, patterns and trends to identify alternatives and best practice solutions, anticipating future challenges.
  • Plan for the management of work outputs across various functional activities, integrating interdependent practices, processes or systems and addressing and balancing the demands of different priorities to optimise efficiency.
  • Evaluate and adjudicate all project plans to ensure all plans are executed according to timelines and delivery risks are mitigated.
  • Lead and shapes the delivery of real estate related strategic costs saving initiatives including reporting on savings initiatives.
  • Manages complex and strategic relationships, internal and external, to ensure alignment of GRES divisions, business units and vendors financial performance.
  • Leads and owns all commercial components of the key GRES outsource contracts across the GRES value chain leading to the successful delivery of committed contract value, enhanced business performance efficiency, value add and control.
  • Develop and manage execution of the GRES Short Term Plan, Medium Term Plan and Long Term Plan to achieve GRES and Liberty strategic intent.
  • Plays a lead role in the Strategic Sourcing and GRES operational team for supplier re-contracting or new outsourcing activities.
  • Develops and executes the GRES project portfolio strategy for short, medium and long term delivery, ensuring business delivery alignment and value management in conjunction with relevant Business Executives .
  • Ensure close out of projects and hand over to the relevant business engagement leads.

Customer

  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships for the purposes of expectation management, knowledge sharing and integration.
  • Build strong customer-centric relationships and develop service level agreements that promote the organisation with stakeholders aligned to Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Partners with Finance, Procurement and other Shared Services groups in the delivery of coordinated solutions to internal customers.

Finance

  • Compile an operational or business area budget aligned with the delivery plans, and ensure the implementation and monitoring of financial controls, management of costs and corporate governance to optimise cost savings and/or profit margins.
  • Provides oversight and creates insight into the Real Estate related operating cost spend and the capital expenditure annual budget.
  • Develop CAPEX and OPEX budget with Enterprise and financial lead and manage the budgets and control expenditure.

Learning and Growth

  • Balance, optimise and manage human resources across disciplines through executed human capability plans.
  • Responsible and accountable for effectively leading, managing and developing the GRES commercial team.

  • Implement the governance management model, framework and policy in own practice and/or tactical areas to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability pro-actively.
  • Ensure quality standards and statutory compliance requirements are set and projects are competed accordingly.
