Senior Specialist: Commercial Analyst GRES

Purpose

Accountable for all analytical inputs to GRES commercial strategy through the formulation and implementation of commercial cost models and commercial responses for the GRES sourcing strategies to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership for GRES.

Minimum Experience

3 - 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 -2 years at a junior specialist level

Minimum Qualifications

Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) [Level TBA: Pre-2009 was L4] in Finance Economics and Accounting

Additional Minimum Qualifications

Bcom Degree in Finance, Economics and Accounting is an advantage.

Outputs

Process

  • Provide specialist advice and support in area of accountability to ensure that identified solutions and recommendations are appropriate and effective.
  • Accountable for the improvement of quality, service and work outputs, continuously recommending improvements.
  • Plan for the organisation of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to the area of specialisation.
  • Proactively identify area of specialisation related problems, determine cause and effect and recommend the best option to implement corrective action based on previous experience.
  • Provides in depth analysis to develop the GRES Short Term Plan, Medium Term Plan and Long Term Plan to achieve GRES strategy and contribute to the Liberty strategic intent.
  • Analyses and recommends on all commercial components of the key GRES outsource contracts. Facilities Management, Property Management, Safety and Security and Project Management.
  • Provides monthly/periodic assessment of supplier commercial performance.
  • Allocate resources to each project, including the recruiting and managing of project managers.
  • Evaluate and adjudicate all project plans to ensure all plans are executed according to timelines and delivery risks are mitigated.
  • Determines optimal services for each type of environment and standard. Determines deviation from standard and reviews national and international data and advises on deviations.

Customer

  • Provide specialist expertise and advice to internal/external customers, that builds strong relationships and creates a favourable impression aligned to Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) principles.

Finance

  • Adhere to financial controls, governance and compliance policies and processes throughout an area of specialisation, contributing to cost efficiency.
  • Analyses and reports on real estate related strategic costs saving initiatives including savings reporting.
  • Develop CAPEX and OPEX budget with GCFL Finance team and manage the budgets and control expenditure.
  • Tracks spend against budget, standards, service providers delivery and continually searches for spend reduction opportunities.
  • Partner with the GCFL Finance team to deliver insightful and high-quality financial reporting.
