Snr Specialist: IT Networks (CCIE)

Purpose
To provide specialist advice and support in the development and implementation of Networks, enabling the tailoring and adaptation of computer systems that meet business needs.
Minimum Experience
3 - 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 -2 years at a junior specialist level
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Information Technology and Computer Sciences
Outputs

CCIE certificate required

Own transport required

Process
  • Advise on and ensure the effective installation, layout and maintenance of network components in an area of technical specialisation.
  • Conduct research and collate data to serve as input to operational reporting and decision making related to area of specialisation.
  • Draw on own technical or professional knowledge and experience to identify and develop solutions to improve process service delivery & quality.
  • Identify, analyse and understand business requirements in order to support the development and improvement of organisational IT systems.
  • Identify, diagnose and recommend improvements and provide specialist advice & support; ensuring that solutions are appropriate and effective.
  • Plan for value-added process improvements, initiatives and services to deliver on operational strategy and objectives.
  • Provide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and process optimisation.
  • Research and evaluate network technology and make informed recommendations related to the purchase of network equipment.
Customer
  • Build relationships and interact positively with clients and act as ambassador of the organisational brand.
  • Contribute to a TCF service excellence culture, which builds positive relationships and provides opportunity for feedback and exceptional service.
  • Implement processes which build service delivery excellence according to TCF principles & encourage others to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Provide sound consulting services and recommendations based on customer and client needs, current information and trends analyses.

  • Monitor and enforce effective financial control, governance and compliance throughout area of specialisation.

  • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of industry and subject matter development and application thereof in an area of specialisation.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of change initiatives by providing support in area of specialisation.
