Purpose

Provide support to the investment product team in delivering the strategic deliverables, development and ongoing management of products, technical knowledge of the investment landscape to produce insights required for the servicing of stakeholders

Minimum Experience

2 - 3 years experience in a similar environment

Critical Job

  • Product development and lifecycle management, including product positioning and differentiation; and
  • Demonstrating thought leadership in solution design and delivery.
  • Executing on strategies to create meaningful coverage of the chosen go-to market strategies
  • Working collaboratively with a team of investment specialists in executing on the investment proposition
  • Extracting valuable behavioural patterns from the data for feedback into the product management process
  • Using these insights in a way that supports our bigger investment proposition
  • Feedback to a team who produces ongoing collateral supporting our investment proposition, e.g. fund fact sheets, standard presentation, market commentary, etc.
  • Consolidate market insights and commentaries from various parties in the Group and STANLIB, as well as source / prepare additional information pieces depending on the demand

Feeding back up-to-date industry insights, including:

  • Competitor intelligence and comparisons:  understand our competitors' positioning and main selling points, identify and drive content to allow our sales force to position our offerings appropriately and competitively against competitors; offerings
  • Industry intelligence (local and foreign): anticipate future market changes, investigate internal trends (current and past), identify unrelated industries' impact on the investment world, etc.
  • Product and client insights to support decision-making and strategy

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Mathematical Sciences
